Mobile Ad Campaigns: Adludio Creatives

Creative Direction & Interaction Design

The Projects

These are samples of some of the live ad campaigns I created while working for the advertising agency Adludio. Adludio helped deliver brand outcomes through interactive mobile advertising. Their main ethos was that consumers are more likely to remember advertising campaigns they interact with. These interactions could take many different forms, from a simple swipe engagement to fully gamified creatives.

Lego Star Wars Campaign

This creative was used to promote the new range of products for LEGO Star Wars in 2019. I used a slider interaction to showcase both sides of the Force. The user could slide left or right to choose their side; different videos and products were then shown depending on the user's choice.

Jo Malone Christmas

This campaign was created to drive sales for Jo Malone during the Christmas period. I designed an interaction where the user had to drag items to complete the snowman.

Air New Zealand

This creative is an example of how a simple swipe interaction can appear more immersive than it actually is. The movement of the clouds before the user interacted really added to this effect. After the user swiped right, they were shown different deals from Air New Zealand.

Carolina Herrera - Bad Boy

Another example of how a simple swipe can be effective. The user was instructed to swipe down; after they swiped, a bolt of lightning would strike, which then transitioned into the campaign video.

MAC - Superstars

This creative for MAC lipstick allowed users to compare the different colours of lipstick on a model. The user as invited to “to drag their favourite lipstick”. After they dragged the lipstick to the lips the lips would change to the colour of that lipstick. This allowed the user to test out all 5 colours on the model.

Royal Navy - Submarine

This campaign was used to promote applications for the Royal Navy Submarine Service. Before the user interacted, there was a randomly changing code at the bottom of the screen layered on top of a pixelated image. The user was instructed to tap and hold to unscramble it. After they interacted with the unit, the pixelated image became clear, and the code unscrambled to say, "The most secret job in the world is hiring.
